Calling all Community Groups!
The Community Climate Action Programme Fund has launched today.
Community groups in Meath with an interest in helping to address climate action in their local areas can apply for grant funding under the themes of Community Energy, Travel, Food & Waste, Shopping & Recycling and Local Climate & Environmental Action.
Instead of viewing Cliamate Action as something extra to do on top Of your day to day It’s handier to think of what you want to achieve and then see how it can be done in a slightly different way.
For instance.
Reducing your energy usage = save money
Wasting less = save money
Recycling = save money
Not filling the place with plastic = save money.
Your pitch is flooding and can only be used for less than half the year, is there a nature based solution available?
You need new nets for goals or behind the goals. Is there a company the supplies recycled options with the same quality?
It’s costing your club a fortune to heat the clubhouse and showers. Is there a way of reducing the amount of energy you use ?
Solar PV, insulation, more efficient heaters?
All of those kind of things and much more qualify under this fund.
This fund can help your group with the money you need to ultimately save your own money as well as helping the community and planet out a bit.
